Vulcan Park and Museum has both indoor and outdoor space available to take your event to the next level. Vulcan Park and Museum provides a versatile and accommodating venue for your special event while your guests are treated to spectacular views of Birmingham. Whether your event is intimate or grand, corporate or social, Vulcan Park and Museum provides the perfect setting for your special occasion.

Vulcan Park and Museum Electra Room

This spacious indoor banquet room is equipped with state of the art audiovisual equipment, a caterer-friendly warming kitchen and enclosed bar. Framed at one end with dramatic floor to ceiling windows, and its own private outdoor patio, this space offers a magnificent view of downtown Birmingham. This versatile room is ideal for meetings, seminars, luncheons, receptions or seated dinners.

Maximum capacity - 120 Seated Dinner, 200 Reception, 120 Auditorium Style, 32 Conference Style

City Overlook

Offering spectacular views of the greater Birmingham area, this spacious and scenic outdoor area may be used in conjunction with the Electra Room to accommodate larger parties or used exclusively as the site for an event. Tenting is allowed. Tables and chairs not included in event booking. Maximum capacity - 175 Seated Dinner, 250 Reception

Catering

Whether you want casual appetizers or a seated dinner, Vulcan Park and Museum has a selection of experienced caterers to suit your event. Vulcan Park and Museum has an approved list of caterers that must be used for your event.

No other outside food or beverage is permitted. However, you may select your own caterer for celebratory cakes (birthday, wedding, etc).

Can any caterer be used for my event?
Vulcan Park and Museum provides a list of the approved experienced caterers for your use.

Is alcohol permitted?
Yes, when provided and served by the caterer in compliance with all applicable laws.

Can any florist be used?
Yes.

May candles be used for decorations?
Yes, as long as they are enclosed in a votive or vase.

 Are bands and DJ's allowed?
 Yes, indoors and out.

 Is parking available?
 Yes, free parking is available up to 186 cars. Valet service is  available for hire.

 How many rooms are available in Vulcan Center?
 One indoor Electra room with its own private outdoor patio, plus the outdoor Vulcan Outlook is available by itself or in conjunction with the Electra room.

 Can I have my event outside?
 Yes.

 Does the facility house a/v equipment?
 Yes, your event booking includes 100" screen, LCD projector, VCR/DVD/CD player, wireless lavaliere mic, wireless handheld mic, podium mic and high speed internet.

Is Vulcan Park and Museum wheelchair accessible?
Yes, Vulcan Park and Museum is designed with ramps and elevators. Vulcan Park and Museum is happy to assist you with any special needs.

Do you offer a discount for non-profit organizations?
Yes!  Vulcan Park Foundation (a non-profit organization) provides a 50% discount off the base usage fee only for qualified 501(c)(3) organizations.

Event Fees

We are pleased that you have selected Vulcan Park and Museum as the venue for your special event!  Payments may be made to Vulcan Park and Museum in the form of money order, cashier’s check, company or personal check, or by all major credit cards (Discover, Visa, MasterCard or American Express).  Cash will not be accepted.   A 50% deposit of the Base Usage Fee and a signed contract are required to reserve a date.  All reservations are subject to availability. Please note that all fees are subject to change without notice.

For all food and beverage arrangements, please contact one of Vulcan Park and Museum's approved caterers directly.  

Vulcan Park and Museum offers a 50% discount off the Base Usage Fee ONLY to non-profit organizations that provide an IRS determination letter. This discount is not applicable during select seasonal months, holidays, and select Friday and Saturday evenings.  

If you are a Birmingham, Hoover, Homewood, Vestavia Hills, Mountain Brook, or Greater Shelby County Chamber Member, you can receive a 10% discount off the Base Usage Fee for events held on Monday or Tuesday.
