A charming musical inspired by one of Birmingham’s most beloved beauty queens performed under the stars at Vulcan® Park and Museum!

Red Mountain Theatre Company and Vulcan® Park and Museum will present two outdoor performances of Miss Vulcan 1939, a lively and light-hearted musical (loosely) based on the actual Miss Vulcan pageant held during the official dedication of Vulcan Park in 1939. Watch history come to life as a spectacle of outrageous characters, assisted by a handful of audience participants, tell this unpredictable tale of a kind-hearted dime store clerk who teaches everyone that it takes more than looks to be crowned Vulcan’s queen.

• Gourmet boxed dinners available Friday and Saturday: 
Pre-order a delicious boxed dinner from A Social Affair by calling 205-871-8494. Dinners will be available for pick-up beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Vulcan® Park and Museum on Friday and Saturday evening. Menus are available by emailing asocialaffair.com. All orders must be received by noon on Thursday, September 11.

After the Show
Vulcan Park and Museum's observation balcony will remain open until 10:00 PM. Don't miss the chance to see some of the most spectacular views of the city at night!
